For international manufacturers and suppliers

Your product ready for Brazilian industry.

We structure the complete entry, from diagnosis to the first order and long-term contracts, with a unique, customized project for each need.

The context

A large, demanding market full of doors that only open from the inside.

Manufacturers arriving in Brazil face technical registration, local content requirements, operator-specific standards, logistics and after-sales, which is why PVF structures the complete entry, from diagnosis to the first order and long-term contracts.

PVF's leadership has led this cycle three times for international manufacturers, covering technical qualification, approval on operator supplier lists, local content strategy, first order and long-term contracts, and has also run a CKD assembly center reporting to international shareholders. The manufacturer therefore does not hire a promise, but a method that has already been walked.

There is no single formula, since each product, segment and investment horizon calls for its own design. For this reason every mandate is born as a unique, customized project, which may range from commercial representation to building a distributor and reseller network, setting up a local company with tax benefits, a joint venture or the acquisition of an established operation.

Steps

How we lead market entry and supplier qualification in Brazil.

  1. Market and requirements diagnosis

Mapping of demand by segment, analysis of current technical specifications, of competitors already approved and of regulatory and tax barriers, so the decision to enter is made with data.

  2. Documentation and qualification preparation

Organization of certificates, test and inspection procedures, quality system and technical dossiers in the format required by operators, EPCs and electronic procurement portals.

  3. Local content and local assembly strategy

Definition of the degree of nationalization, selection of domestic suppliers of parts and components and design of CKD assembly when the contract or the client requires it.

  4. Commercial development with targets

Active commercial representation with operators, EPCs, shipyards and industries, with an account plan, targets per period and follow-up of tenders and quotations.

  5. Technical support and after-sales with local partners

Technical assistance, repair, strategic inventory and field service through the network of qualified partners coordinated by PVF, since after-sales is what decides contract renewal.

  6. Distributor and reseller network

Design and development of a distributor and reseller network by region and segment, with selection criteria, commercial policy, technical training and inventory, so the product reaches markets that direct sales cannot.

  7. Local company, joint venture or acquisition

When volume justifies it, we structure the creation of a local company taking advantage of tax benefits, a joint venture with a Brazilian partner or the acquisition of an existing operation, including valuation, negotiation and integration.

Partnership model

Commercial development mandates and local content compliance.

We work under mandate, with flexible remuneration models adjusted per project and combined by stage and by result, so that the interests of the manufacturer and of PVF stay aligned throughout the cycle.

Each mandate is a unique, customized project, defined jointly according to the scope, the stage of the product in Brazil and the expected contract horizon. In this way the manufacturer invests in proportion to real progress, and PVF shares in the result it helped to build.

Customized project and exclusivity by segment

Scope, stages and remuneration designed for each product and each market, with representation by product line and segment and no conflict with other principals.

Targets and reporting

Commercial plan with targets per period and structured reporting to headquarters.

Distributors, local company, JV or M&A

Reseller network, local company with tax benefits, joint venture or acquisition, according to the manufacturer's volume and strategy.

Frequently asked questions

What manufacturers ask before entering Brazil.

How does ANP local content affect foreign suppliers in Brazil?

Local content clauses bind the operator to prove percentages of goods and services produced in the country, and that obligation travels down the chain as a supply requirement, so a foreign manufacturer only becomes eligible on certain fronts when there is production, assembly or value added in Brazil. The corporate and industrial design therefore has to be decided before the commercial approach.

Which market entry models can be structured?

Commercial representation, development of a distributor and reseller network, incorporation of a local company using tax incentives, local CKD assembly for local content purposes, plus joint ventures and M&A when the goal is permanent presence.

Does a manufacturer need a Brazilian entity to sell here?

Not necessarily, since direct export and sales through a local distributor cover a relevant share of industrial demand. A local entity starts to make sense when the client requires invoicing in reais, short delivery times, stock in the country, on-site technical support or proof of local content.

How is the commercial arrangement priced?

The models are flexible and defined case by case, according to scope, the horizon of the operation and how much dedicated structure it requires.

Which buying sectors are reached?

Oil and gas, petrochemicals, power, mining, steel, pulp and paper, food and sanitation, always around critical assets, where the purchase decision runs through technical specification rather than price alone.

How is this different from a traditional sales agent?

A traditional agent opens doors and forwards proposals, while here the scope covers the fit between the product and local demand, regulatory and documentary adaptation, the corporate and tax structure when needed, and after-sales support through services and asset integrity.
